Birthday Makeup Look

BDAYMAKEUP

Without going into how old I turned, I recently had a birthday (as in two weeks ago). And with that, I decided to take the day off work and focus on myself.

Focusing on myself essentially meant laying in my bed until 11 am and calling my mom all distraught because I'm yet another year older. But in all honesty, turning older isn't something I should be dreading - rather, I should be celebrating because I am another year more accomplished in my career, more knowledgeable, and more confident in myself.

Speaking of confidence, I decided that I would take my time to apply some of my favourite makeup for an evening of fun with my friends at The Rec Room. It's definitely confidence in that it was a lovely dinner party and I was wearing enough glitter on my eyes to run an art class for preschoolers.

My makeup skills have definitely gone a little bit rusty, as it took me longer than usual to do a simple cut crease with glitter. Luckily, my NYX glitter glue primer and Urban Decay All Nighter spray saved me from spreading around the glitter past my eyes (and into my hair, on my desk, on the floor...you get the idea).

What are your thoughts on glitter cut creases? Are they really 2017? Am I out of touch as an older millennial now?
